A short week's stay only gave the opportunity to see Knossos and the museum in Heraklion and do some golfing on Greece 4th best golf course. This hotel is one of those places where you immediately feel like part of the family when you stay here. Everyone is so incredibly friendly, knows who you are and gives amazing recommendations for things to do and restaurants to visit. The place is so clean and beautiful, breakfast is amazing and it’s just enough off the beaten path to avoid a ton of beach tourists coming in and out. It has a really exclusive feel while being super homely at the same time. Highly recommend staying here!

We bought very cheap flight tickets to Crete in February completely by change - never been to Crete before. Then we chose Venus Mare hotel after a lot of searching and comparing on booking, expedia, airbnb etc. In the end it was a great choice. The place is ideal for families - nice pool, quiet street (dead end), 200 m from the beach (not crowded and clean), everything in walking distance - bus stop to Heraklion and Hersonissos, the village on Analipsi, supermarket, car rentals, travel agencies...
