It’s a little hard to find, but great scenery and so well worth it! The owners and staff are so wonderful, they even speak English. The restaurant had wonderful food. Breakfast was included. Try the shambled eggs and bacon! So much on the menu for lunch and dinner too. They made up our room as soon as we arrived. We were on the top floor and the view was awesome. It is only stairs and I have a handicap so that would be my only problem. I managed the stairs and was glad I did. Big room all...
I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The staff is helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is delicious. If I find that my travels take be back to the Schwarzwald, I will be staying at Sombea again.
We loved this hotel. We had a bit of a time finding it, but we were really happy with the stay there. The breakfast had EVERYTHING and was very good.
I really loved the parlor off the bedroom; I did not expect to have a second room. It had a couch, table, shelf unit and television. It was perfect for watching TV and not disturbing someone sleeping!
The proprietors were so friendly and helpful; we really liked them.
Parking was a bit difficult. Had to park across the street in an underground and pay €14 per night. The breakfast was remarkable and the best we have ever had in any hotel traveling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They didn't seem to know how to find an ATM. Suggest that information be available to travelers who need to exchange currency.
Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable.
My husband and I chose this wonderful hotel to stay in when we visited the Black Forest this past weekend. We had a wonderful time! Couldn't ask for better staff. We were so surprised of the cleanliness and how beautiful our room was. We didn't have to drive far for the activities we wanted to do and places we wanted to see. Would love to stay here again if we ever make it back to the Black Forest.
in hornberg...a ways from triberg....very nice small hotel...and a great resturant next door run by the same people who run the hotel...ate dinner 2 of 3 nights and the food was good both times...highly recomend
