"Superb location on the beach. There is a store/couple of restaurants nearby. Lovely staff. There was a fridge, coffee, milk and dishes. I wish the rooms had a bit more soundproofing."

"A wonderful experience with friendly staff. Great dining experience with a changing menu. The rooms are right on the bay which is very close to swimming beaches and perfect at night for star gazing. We stayed 3 night's but could have stayed for longer."

"We thought the resort was lovely, esp being so close to beach. Yes I did swim each day even though it was august. We were told property was wheelchair friendly but you need to have some Mobility. A lot of gravel made chair use a little tricky and a couple More grab rails in bathroom would have been good along with a bench in shower. Breakfast each day would be good as you are a short drive to town. Need to plan for dinner as Sunday and Monday restaurant is shut. Room Could have had a slightly better clean each day as I did leave a bit of sand about from The beach. But beds/heating/location and comfort were amazing."

"The best place to stay in Tasmania. Avalon Coastal Retreat is an awesome place to stay. The location and space is unrivalled with sweeping views over Coles Bay to Freycinet Nat Park and pure architectural elegance of the accomodation was stunning. We could not have been more relaxed and rested. We enjoyed the open fire, the nigh stars, the walk down to a private beach, lunch at nearby Piermont restaurant, wine tasting down the road at Mayfield and a trip around the bay to walk to beautiful Wineglass bay. It could not have been in a better location. The welcome from host Shaine was next level and the generous food and drinks made the welcome even more impressive. We can’t wait to get back to Tassie and to stay at Avalon again. Vin and Kathy."
