Staying at Jay's Guest House deep in the Blue Mountains was a great experience. It's an opportunity to get away from the typical tourist areas of Jamaica and have an authentic Jamaican experience. Jay has a wonderful family and they make you feel right at home. I would recommend the Blue Mountain peak sunrise hike and buying some of the best coffee I've ever had.
The welcome drink on arrival gave the experience a special touch. We were awed that the same courtesy was extended on departure 😊. Property is centrally located, quiet, excellent food, cozy room. EXELLENT staff all around! Enjoyed the stay❤️
The Blue Window restaurant menu need more selection of food especially Jamaican crusine. Checkin needs to be improve. Too demanding especially when I paid for 2 person in room. The Front Desk was insisting on other person name even when the petson eventually did not make it to the hotel. Concern was about the unknown person may show for breakfast in my case this did not happen. I was the only person that was in my room but the Expedia reservation automatic place for two petson. This hotel is considered my family hotel because that's how they made me feel everytime I stayed at this hotel. The front desk staff they are super super welcoming and I love them all. My 7th time at this hotel since 2025 and I continue to give this hotel a 5 star.
Terra Nova has a charm that many other hotels in Kingston lack. The staff is warm and personable, they will help you with what ever you need.It is ultimately the quintessential go to hotel in Kingston for me. True Jamaican hospitality! If you enjoy Jamaican culinary I would highly recommend.
After a handful of stays here, this definitely feels like a home away from home.
