We had a very pleasant stay in the Els Cacadors hotel. The business is family owned for 4 generations and staff is very friendly and attentive. More importantly, the hotel's restaurant is arguably the second best (after 1 Michelin star La Fonda Xesc ) in the area with very tasty and greatly priced (14 euros 3 courses testing menu). This hotel is an absolute gem! We felt so welcome. The hotel is beautifully maintained and the location ideal for day trips in the Pyrenees or just relaxing on the terrace. Breakfast is wonderful and we highly recommend having dinners at the hotel which are like a luxury restaurant with local seasonal ingredients right at your “home”. This is a special place - highly recommend.
The staff was extremely friendly, going above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. The premises have been recently renovated, and the old quarters for railroad employees offer now a very welcoming stay to the travelers. The showers are outstanding for a hotel this category.
