Exceeded our expectations. Stayed in the studio apartment on the first floor. It was spacious, clean, and very well appointed. The kitchen had high-end appliances and everything worked. Comfortable bed and functional bathroom. We can easily say, it was the best guest house experience we had in Iceland. Parking was readily available in the back side of the building. The rate compared very favorably against other Icelandic lodging options in the area. Highly recommend to fellow travelers.

This place is great and the owner is so nice. We stayed two nights and the morning we were scheduled to leave a storm came through that knocked out the power and closed all the roads around us. They allowed us to hang out until the roads opened and even found ways to feed us both breakfast and lunch. We stay 2 nights at Aurora Cabin. It is located on Highway 1 and it is easy to find. The Cabin is Cosy and have a nice Kitchen with everything we need to cook for a good meal. We met the Property Owner Ivac on 2nd day. He is nice and helpful. He told us where and when to look for Northern Light. We saw Northern Light that night just outside the Cabin. The Cabin is just a few miles from Hofn where we can buy Grocery We will definitely stay at Aurora Cabin again if we come back to Iceland
