The only issues I had were an additional Kyoto tax that had to be paid separately from my booking here on Expedia. I believe it was $1.58 (approx. ¥200) which I could have paid in cash but the staff were trying to offload much of the check-in process to their all in one automated device which didn't take cash. Annoying as I was tired and wanted to get to my room and lie down. A coupon for a free drink in the lounge from 1 to 5pm was included but I was staying for only 1 night. Checkin was at 3pm...
