We have been travelling across southern Italy for three weeks and have stayed in several places which were all nice friendly and clean, but Casa Mamma Elvira stands above the rest for us. The location is central to everything that is historically important to see, and also central to many restaurants and shops. Loved it during the first part of June. Too crowded in July and August. Posia is the best and only 5Star in town on the beach. The small gym room needs upgrading. One treadmill that wasn't working. The room service was the best meals we had all week and not much pricier than a nice restaurant in town. Will definitely come back.
The staff at this hotel were excellent, made us very welcome and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast was very nice and served on a rooftop patio overlooking the sea. We had a suit, which was very spacious and very comfortable.
Check in process is a unique because they have no front desk. Everything is online, so make sure you read the instructions. Well worth it though, for a clean, comfortable room with a cool setup in an unbeatable location. But don't expect fancy views, you're in the middle of downtown.
This hotel was beautiful inside, and the view of farmland, cliffs and sea were stunning. Breakfast was on the terrace in good weather, and the excellent dinners were served in the high-ceilinged, arched dining room. Rooms do not have a view, but have outside areas. This hotel was perfect and far exceeded my expectations.
