"I am having a business trip to Guangzhou and believed my trust on Westin as I have been Westin's loyal patron for quite a while. The lobby is nice with wonderful artificial scent, which I liked, however, I don't know what is wrong with the Concierge service. I went to their counter for the first time for a small paper bag with hotel logo, yet the staff, after understanding what I needed, left me there alone without offering any help and second time, I was there to get a room card as mine was locked inside of my room. Again, without any substantial assistance, I was redirected to the front desk. In my understanding, Concierge is where patrons get help, rather than getting redirecting to other staff. It should never be serving as a relay station. It is obviously not matching the stars of Westin and it made its patrons feel bad and helpless."
"Hotel is at good location. Love the signature smells, feels like home everytime walk in. Room is a bit older but that's Shangri-la style. Love the outdoor swimming pool and gym. For the price we highly recommended."

Front desk staff Ethan H. is very helpful. We initially had a difficult time checking in. Upon learning about our situation, Ethan stepped in and made extrs effort to accommodate us, turning our stay into a pleasant experience. We booked an additional 3 nights stay thanks to his help."
