Check-in was well organized by Stephanie for our group of 6. Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and convenient to all property amenities. Food menu had a nice variety. The location within Placencia Village is perfect. The resort is on a beautiful beach and our ocean front room had a great view. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The security guard made us feel very comfortable.

Room very naive, individual tree houses. The place is beautiful, we could not enjoy it ,much because we were in Placencia for a weeding and we were pretty busy, left early and come back late, we did have breakfast and I can say it is very good and reasonable, their restaurant have a great sea view.

The hotel is quite remote. If you don't have a car you must rely on the shuttle which has set hours that may not match up with your plans

It's a bit far away form Placencia village, but hotel provides free shuttle. A bit of a pain to wait for the driver to bet back, as they are not always on time.

One issue - we couldn't use the pictured pier with a gazebo and bar much (if ever) because there was a convention there and they kept other tourists off that pier, while kids from convention occupied the pier of breakfast, lunch, dinner and all activities.
The room was not an ocean front view as it was advertised as it was a pool view. It was a long walk to parking on the street that was not convenient. The room was great in that it had high end furniture, fixtures, etc.
My girlfriend and I could not be more happy with our stay at the Ellysian. I truly believe it is the best hotel/resort to stay in all of Placencia and possibly Belize.
