Excellent. Very comfortable, plenty of space, indoor pool, total quiet, well stocked fridge for guests, very good breakfast. Only minor issue is that the location is a bit remote from the nearest villages - definitely a car needed, not walking distance. Plus you will need Google Maps to find it (may not be a bad thing!).

The hotel is well appointed, the rooms large, and the Proprietor, who spoke excellent English, was very helpful. The room we had, admittedly the cheapest option, had a strange layout, with the toilet across a small double bed from the rest of the bath. Worst of all, there was only a tub, 3 feet off the floor, with a handheld shower nozzle-- which is hard for an older couple. We had a lovely stay. Our room was great and the staff, especially the afternoon reception clerk was wonderful. Not only did she acclimate us to the hotel, she helped carry our bags, and she helped plan the things we did while we were in the area. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was super. Highly recommend!
This is truly a special place! Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had in my entire life! Staff was very helpful and the setting is gorgeous! Not inexpensive but worth every dime. Wish I had a room with a shower, but otherwise everything was exceptional! Look forward to coming back!!

This is a gorgeous manor house in the heart of the Dordogne Valley next to the river. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful. Be sure to get the breakfast because it is a feast of local flavors. Wonderful hosts who can make excellent dining recommendations. Worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience.
