The room was fantastic. We loved it. The beds were so comfortable and the view was so beautiful. We used the onsen and it was magical because we had a full moon. The bath products they have for the guests and the onsen user are the best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash i have ever used in my 51 years. I don’t know if they sell it in town but if you are around look for them there because I think it’s unique to the area. The front desk was so friendly, even though we didn’t know...
Maybe the best hotel experience I've ever had. Room was amazing, with an onsen overlooking the sea. Shared onsens also available at the property were fantastic and provided a moonlit soak in a secluded grove. The staff was the picture of hospitality - warm, accommodating, and endlessly helpful. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Will be back for sure.
Having stayed in a plethora of ryokan over many years in Japan, this is one of the best experiences I've had so far. Wonderful staff, excellent food and character galore. I'll be going back.
A perfect location to end my Japan trip. Hotel is right on the beach. Every rooms are either face the ocean or Mountain View. And the room was very spacious.
From the moment you walk in you are walking on a cloud! Between the beauty, amenities, amazing food and the views you just couldn’t ask for better! It is a whole experience you’ll never forget!
This resort was one of the best parts of our trip to Japan. Coming from the USA, we wanted to enjoy a traditional accommodation. This resort had everything we were looking for: Japanese style room, bedrock sauna, private onsen bath, gendered public onsen bath and an onsen pool. It is a small resort with only 8 rooms, which makes for a very personalized experience. When we arrived the staff was incredibly friendly. We didn’t book any meals with our reservation but was easily able to add it on at...
Wonderful stay at Ryokan Kikuya. It's picturesque, with the stream running through it. Impeccable service, attentive yet discreet. Situated at the heart of Shuzenji Onsen town, one can go on short or long walks with interesting sites to visit.
I have stayed in many luxury 5 star hotels, but this place get 10 stars, comfort and service beyond anything you can imagine. Big thank you to the owners for fantastic hospitality!
This was a lovely place to spend a short scuba diving vacation on the Izu Peninsula. The ocean views from my room were fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Large room with private bath/shower on deck. Two-minute walk to the calm beach which was calm enough for our young daughter to play safely on the beach and water. Highly recommend this establishment and we would definitely stay here again.
Can’t say enough good about the staff. This place was such a fun experience. We did three nights and maybe we should have done just two only because of the futons on the floor and we’re not as young as we use to be. Also, if I had one minor suggestion it would be for them to have a means to get coffee on site. I totally get it’s an experience and they have tea but for us coffee drinkers.. we gotta have it! Lol
