"Very friendly - good value - decent food and a good quiz night"

"Great location, friendly owner and house keeper, well maintained with a cosy homely feel. The kitchen was well equiped for self catering and the home was kept warm for our autumnal stay. Towels were provided as were gowns and slippers which were a thoughtful addition for the use of the hot tub. A much appreciated basket of goodies greeted us on arrival. Would happily return."

"On arrival Monday 4.30pm, this is a really lovely property, clean & tidy, parking not a big issue, quiet street, but the property was freezing cold, heating thermostat set at OFF, boiler was on. Boiler water very low topped up nothing. Hottub cold was 29°. We went through welcome pack no owner details, no heating details, hottub details 3 pages of, do's & don't's, main detail for hottub was DONT TOUCH TEMP BUTTONS. "Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. "Amazing beautiful location but unfortunately the house did not live up to expectations, especially considering the price. The house was damp and smelt strongly of damp. Some of the walls were very damp with bubbling of the paint and mould. There was mould around the bathroom plug and around the edge of the shower. The sofas had lost their springs and incredibly uncomfortable which wasn't helped with being made from hessian. The bed was very bouncy so when my husband rolled over I bounced...
