"Large corporate hotel. Decor is a bit old fashioned and dated, but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it. Reception closes at 10pm so contact them if you are arriving late. Large car park."

"We stayed in one of the twin rooms overlooking the lake, the view is lovely and worth paying slightly more for if you have the option. You can hear the motorway with the window open, but not at all when the window was closed, so it was actually really quiet at night. Even with the window open, the noise level wasn't that bad (and I'm someone who is sensitive to noise!) My main criticism was that there was a strong smell on entering the room and bathroom, a damp smell I think. And the tray that the mugs & tea bags etc. were on wasn't clean. But apart from that, we were satisfied with our stay. I'd probably stay again, but only if I could get a cheap rate. The person on reception was excellent, and there were free books (for a charitable donation) in reception, which was a nice touch."

"The room we had were smallish but very well designed to use the space and very clean and stylish. Staff were very helpful. Didn't use the bar area until morning fir the delightful breakfast. Great breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful and nice and quiet at night. The only con I could comment was I could here the tv in room next door, but not super bad, just enough that you could hear when trying to sleep. Otherwise, excellent place and the waterfall behind the place was great even though we haven't had for some time."

"We arrived quite early and although the check in was 4pm our room was ready so we were able to get in very early and quickly. The staff were all helpful and friendly throughout. The large room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The bar and restaurant had seating areas overlooking the canal and another with a terrace at the front. We were only there for one night but would be very happy to go again if we visit Skipton. The location was good and also only a few minutes drive from the town centre."
