I had problems with the bathroom. Very bad design of the shower . While i was taking shower the water was simply going directly in the midle of the room !!! It could be be fixed very fast and very cheap. I couldn t understand why it wasn t done ????!!!!!. Shower needs a small shelf for cosmetics. Toilet wasn t phonic isolated from the main room. Overall very bad design of the room.
This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. Highlights for me included: the view from the rooftop, friendly and accommodating staff, health workshops offered throughout the day, cozy rooms, and relaxing spa with familiar and new therapies. Front desk manager was extremely friendly and helpful. We are English speaking and there was no language barrier. Breakfast was wonderful. We ate dinner's at a lovely off-site place on the beach with views of the ocean.
The view from the 11th floor was amazing. I sat and watched the ocean with my morning coffee from down the street. The rooms were clean, fresh, lighting amazing. Shower was a dream with rainfall shower head. I love all the eco friendly touches!

It was only a 5 minute walk across the street to the beach and there is a walking trail that parallels the beach and will take you to the harbor or main areas of Lagos in less than 30 minutes
