On the day of my arrival my husband and I were greeted by the owner Bradley. Bradley assisted us with our luggage and personally escorted us to our room. He gave us the grand tour of the building and explained how the items in the room function (TV, lights etc...) One personal touch that I loved was him offering us a nice hot pot of tea. Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw.

Our stay at Gidleigh Park was extraordinary. I had never experienced the level of service offered or the professionalism of the staff. We felt welcomed and cared for as individuals. The meals were outstanding. I’m so glad I chose to stay there for part of our trip to England’s southwest, but every place after was a bit of a let down.
The room quality and amenities were incredible for the price. As well as the building the owners are such kind people. If you’re visiting princetown, book your stay here because you will not regret it.
