We loved our three night stay at Memoria Porto. The staff treated us like royalty and our room overlooked the Douro River. One tip, we can offer is to take the # 500 bus to the coast and pay a lot less for authentic Portugese food, wine, and beer. We will definitely be back. The morning breakfast was filling and delightful.
We are very pleased with our stay in this aparto hotel, excellent hospitality and customer service. Spacious studio with a terrace and a very nice city view. They pay attention to details. We came to Porto to celebrate my birthday and the staff sent me a card with my name on it and chocolates! What a beautiful surprise! Thank you for making my day very special!
Hotel Jaguar was a nice new property. The staff was great! Extremely helpful and informative. They offer a city tour which was a really nice touch and a hotel shuttle included in your stay. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful stay. Stunning property, fabulous views, food was excellent, boat ride in our the Douro magical. Service could have been better - they were not as attentive as I would have liked to see for a property of this caliber.
Property is just like advertised. What they don’t prepare you is for how polite, accommodating and kind is the entire staff especially Paulo at the front desk. What a delightful stay!
Room was clean Shower was easy to use. I missed more storage space in the bathroom Even added hooks on the door would help. Not enough hangers on the closet bar. No suitcase holder . Staff was well trained and extremely helpful. Especially Anna was very informative. We loved location. We did not have breakfast but it looked ok. We had a great experience at the hotel. It looks a bit smaller and simpler than a 4-star hotel, but the amenities are nice and we also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The pizza restaurant, where breakfast is every morning, can be very crowded in the evenings on the weekend. In terms of the location, it’s probably 20-25 mins away from most of the tourist attractions, but we really liked our walk through the city at least twice every day. We arrived during a rare one-day power outage and the staff did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The property was extremely clean and everyone on the staff extremely professional and helpful. Each morning's breakfast was absolutely wonderful and there was port wine and snacks in the lobby in the afternoon. We loved the central location in Porto, but it can be somewhat noisy at night coming from the cafes and restaurants nearby. Overall, I would stay here again...
it is very centrally located. Very comfortable and just 1 block from sao bento train station, and about 10 minutes from a couple other metro stations. The front desk staff super helpful.. i look forward to staying with them on my next trip to porto, and highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms were nice, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was available. Not too far from historic downtown and the river, just a short taxi drive. Only issue we had was the fact that you had to drive out to find restaurants, we did not try to walk because it seemed complicated. There is a shopping mall a few minutes away with an excellent food court.
