"My family and I have been staying at the Riviera for years. The location of the hotel is fantastic not only because of the beach nearby but also due to a tennis club right across the street, shops nearby, good restaurants etc. Breakfast at the hotel is excellent and the bathrooms in the rooms have been updated. I would suggest reconsidering the terrible hairdryers and the tv rooms and bar which need urgent works."

We loved this hotel and its location. The rooftop pool deck is great. 1.5 mile walk to Cascais, beautiful beaches right across the street, the train station to go to Lisbon is a 4 minute walk, and an Uber ride to Sintra is just around $20. It really is a great hotel and location.

There are comfortable seating areas throughout. Board games and books are available. Bkfsts were exc! There was something for everyone, incl fresh cheeses and fresh fruit. And the staff at both locations was exceptionally helpful. One even called to ask if I needed help when I went to the pharmacy and "disappeared " for 5 hrs. My room was furnished in "early Ikea", but the atmosphere is clean, warm and friendly, and I would highly recommend this hostel.

this hotel was perfect in every way , excellent location very clean and modern rooms in a 300 year old building . our room looked over a very busy street with a view of the famous arch . the street lined with restaurants was noisy with the window open but once closed we could not hear anything . very nice breakfast and the front desk people were very helpful and freindly . will stay here next visit

I loved the unique theme and feel to this hotel. It’s a one minute walk to the metro and the famous tram line; however, the area it’s located in isn’t the safest. Every day we encountered people on drugs outside (but they were harmless in our case and we had no issues). Just some strange characters. But the hotel itself is fabulous and they offer unique extras and a copious breakfast! As a woman I would only stay in this area with a male partner and suggest coming back a little before 10pm....

Staying in a Tagus Marina house boat was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the hotel, simple with comfy bed. The location is great, across the street is a hub for all the tours, downtown is less than a mile walk down nice street with expensive stores. The downtown is 20 min by walk, nice and quiet. There is a little market where you can get water , there is a refrigerator. Shopping mall 10 min walk on one street.
