Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 days it was a quick buisness trip but I have been to other hotels in Volos & Portaria and the Valeni is hands down the most relaxing and all of the service was excellent I have absolutely no complaints. Food was great, Coffee was excellent, pool was fun, the views at night were great also.
A truly beautiful and special place. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was so lovely and provided the perfect amount of space for us and our teenage daughter. The hotel was lovely, with real charm and character. We wish we could have spent longer in Portaria!
We got lost and the owner stayed on the phone with us until we found the hotel. It’s so enchanting like something from a movie. The lady that made the breakfast was precious and wanted to make sure we were completely happy. A lovely experience.
Yannis and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Their home is beautiful, and the breakfast was incredible—all homemade and delicious local ingredients.
The hotel and hotel staff were great. Comfortable clean rooms and bathrooms. Only complaint is the location. If you plan on staying here rent a car and be very comfortable driving a stick shift. Portaria is a 30min drive from Volos and 1hr drive to the east coast. There are some restaurants in Portaria but not much else to do in this area.
Room was quite small but the balcony was amazing! And the breakfast - it could not have been better. The staff were outstanding! The property was a little difficult to reach since the curvy, steep roads had recently been washed out.
What a wonderful hotel!!! The hotel was elegant, very clean, very thought out. There wasnt anything missing. There was even a kitchenette an a Nespresso machine, which was a lovely touch. The rooms were very comfortable in size. Even the elevator was pretty. Tonia who greeted us and checked us in was just lovely and as quick as you can get to satisfy your needs. In minutes she found a hairdresser one of us needed, she made reservations at a fabuloys local pub/eatery famous for their appetizers...
