The social club was a great value. It was located conveniently off of a main street, not too far (an easy 10-15 minute walk from either of the main train stations in Glasgow) and was a very modern facility. Everything worked great and the rooms were modern and spacious.

My wife and 10-month-old baby stayed here for four nights on holiday from the United States. This was the end of our trip traveling through the UK and we were very happy with our stay. The location of the hotel was excellent, the rooms were nice, and the staff were very friendly. Although there were two fire alarms that went off out of the hotel's control, they responded very promptly and made sure all customers were taken care of. Great hospitality and very welcoming!!!
We arrived early and I asked the front desk person if they could hold our luggage. To our shock, she checked us in early and we were able to go to our room. Of all the places we stayed during our 10 days in Scotland the Sherbrooke was the absolute best. (And we stayed in a few rather nice places, including the Scotsman in Edinburgh) Every member of the staff was beyond polite, friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough to help us feel both welcome and comfortable. In addition, the evening was gorgeous and our photos of the grounds and sunset were exquisite. What a way to end a trip at such a marvelous establishment.
