Of all the places we stayed during our 10 days in Scotland the Sherbrooke was the absolute best. (And we stayed in a few rather nice places, including the Scotsman in Edinburgh) Every member of the staff was beyond polite, friendly and accommodating. They could not do enough to help us feel both welcome and comfortable. In addition, the evening was gorgeous and our photos of the grounds and sunset were exquisite. What a way to end a trip at such a marvelous establishment.
The best thing about this hotel is really the proximity to the airport. It is a lovely hotel- rooms are great, not much noise and decent size. But it is amazing that you can just walk across the street to the airport without worrying about any transportation or delays.
I had an early morning flight and stayed the night before. I was able to get breakfast quickly at the hotel before casually walking over to catch my flight. Awesome!

I'm so sad that we were only in town for one night. My sister and I did a road trip around Scotland, and this was our last night. It was the BEST hotel we stayed in. The staff was amazing and nice. The hotel was quirky and upscale. The breakfast was delicious (the best we had eaten the whole time we were in Scotland).

Staying here was the perfect cap to our trip. The hotel was beautifully appointed and perfectly clean, even the pull-out bed was comfortable, we had a full bath, and there was a free self-serve laundry facility on site.
The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless.
