LOVED: The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The room was AWESOME! I loved the bed, soft and comfy, cozy! Nice size bathroom and very light and pretty. Huge closet and plenty of shelves. Room even had an in-room safe and a full size fan. I didn't use either one, but still unexpected. The view from my room was so nice out of big beautiful windows that could be opened! It overlooked the back of hotel and you could see the lovely rooftops and flowers and distant hills. So, gorgeous! The...
We had a lovely stay. The Queens room, with the tub was great after a day of sightseeing. The food was great and the staff was very friendly with suggestions and just great to chat with. Would stay there again.
This was like home from home.
Julie and Richard were very personable and couldn’t do enough to help us.
Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit salad every morning, cereal, yoghurt, cooked to order full Scottish breakfast with toast and home made jams.
Spacious sitting room to relax in.
Hot tub was great as our daughter and grand daughter used it every night.
This place blew us away!!! Beautiful house and the room (and view!) was stunning. The owners were so incredibly friendly and helpful. And holy cow, THE BREAKFAST!! Some of the best food we’ve had on this trip!! It was a very easy walk to town - we were there to see the Puffins on the Isle of May, and getting to the boat in the morning was very easy. Overall, we were sad we were only staying one night. We considered trying to change our plans, just to stay another night at that house and eat...
We loved the village and enjoyed this tiny hotel that had everything you need. Susie and Lee were a lot of fun while handling check in/out, the bar and being servers in restaurant. Great stay!
Best place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Scotland! The staff is extraordinary! They run the hotel and bar, so you can find them in the bar if they aren’t at reception. It’s a small village bar with a lot of regular locals who took us in like we were family. The staff facilitated including us into the conversation. If you want to soak up the culture and even make some friends, this is the place to do it. The beds were also the most comfortable we’ve had in Scotland. It was very quiet in the...
We were exhausted when we arrived. The staff was very tolerant of my lack of clarity from the fatigue. The room was clean and comfortable although not very spacious but the price was great. The water in the shower was hot and it was a good shower in terms of water pressure and space. The breakfast had options and there was enough space to be comfortable. The hotel was full breakfast was busy. I did not have a hot breakfast so I can’t comment on that but the yogurt and granola was fine. ...
Nice hotel, not quaint or Scottish, but nice.
I am not sure if they used any insulation between rooms as we could hear the neighbors conversations quite well and the TV from about 4 rooms down.
This is a lovely and comfortable home within walking distance of Perth. There’s a comfortable sitting room a large dining room for morning breakfast and the rooms were clean and quiet. Graham was the young man managing the property while I was staying and he was wonderful to talk to and most helpful with anything I needed. The breakfasts were delicious and had a huge array of options. I highly recommend it.
2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with a kitchen and second bathroom which was nice to have! There was also a washer/dryer in-unit. Everything was very modern, updated and seemed new. Very nice place to stay with convenient location. Highly recommend!
For my "western" friends, this is a "small" place...as expected. Set that aside, because it is St. Andrews and that's what you get. This BnB style hotel and restaurant is the pinnacle of "big things come in small packages". An excellent staff, well-appointed rooms, breakfast, top-notch dinner, and you are 3 minutes walk from the 1st tee of the Old Course. It really doesn't get better than this. It's a golfer's dream. Absolutely recommend and will love to stay here again.
The lobby area has great spaces to lounge, read a book, or meet friends. The dining areas and food were excellent. My only gripe (small in nature) was that the shampoo was unusual in that it was in a tube and did not provide sufficient suds upon use.
