When the beach is calling your name, you might want to head down to Patnem Beach, located 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from central Palolem. Catch the sunset by the shore at Rajbag Beach, just a short walk away.

Beach huts, Colomb Beach, near Palolem Beach, Goa. Most of the accommodations at Palolem are cabanas such as these, although not all of them are built onto the rocks like these. Nearly all of them are built anew at the beginning of the tourist season and dismantled in April or May before the summer monsoon hits. The torrential rain and high water of these storms would likely tear them apart otherwise, and Goa's government wants to keep the hotels here small-scale and simple. They're also generally very reasonably priced.
