"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Dakota. The hotel is a very short and easy walk from the train station, so it was easy to get around. There are many nice walking trails in the city, and the train ride to Lake Brienz is very short and convenient. The area is in a beautiful valley with gorgeous waterfalls nearby, including Reichenbach falls. There are also many nice shops nearby as well as a crafting/farmers market in the mornings. "We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. "

"Third generation family run property with very friendly innkeepers. Offered a solid breakfast with everything you could want but no eggs or breakfast meat. I didn’t miss them. Interior is cozy and charming. My balcony had such an amazing view of Witterhorn Mountain, I didn’t want to leave my room! Location is perfect, away from the touristy center of town but still walkable to everything. Can’t recommend the place enough."

"Had an excellent stay at the Alpenhof. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was superb. Had dinner one evening in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend a stay at the Alpenhof when you visit Grindelwald"

"Eiger Mountain Soul resorts staff were amazing. If you were standing anywhere at the hotel, multiple staff would asks if you needed something. Very clean, great dining, and in the main part of town, near the train station. If you stay there, you can walk either direction from the hotel to find nice restaurants and shops. Great gym facility and the private whirlpool eas awesome. Would stay again."
