Restaurant was good - majority of diners seem to be single people probably on business trips. Room was very small but also quiet. No lift so might be unsuitable for clients who have mobility issues. "We stayed one night on the way to the south of France. Hotel was perfect for a stopover. Very clean with lovely staff. Rooms are functional but bed was comfy and shower was hot. Excellent breakfast. We drove into Nevers and walked along the river. Filled with petrol at the local supermarket and ate at a pizza restaurant just down the road. "

"It was better than we expected. The 1 BR apartment we booked was as spacious as a vacation home. The kitchen was also very well equipped. The bathroom could yuse a couple of hooks to hang the towels and a shelf by the sink for toiletries. But for one night stay, it was great. We didn't try the breakfast and so cannot comment on that."

"Hôtel de Verdun is an excellent place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The receptionist provided helpful information, including the availability of touktouks to head to the local train station. I strongly recommend this wonderful hotel!"
