"The bar was great! The food was wonderful!!! Julie the bartender/server was great! Not only with suggestions but also on the history of the hotel and area. Our room was amazing, we had the king suite with river view and it was beautiful! They've kept some period pieces making it even more unique,as well as an outstanding job of maintaining the history and decor for the period. I truly wanted to go to each of the MANY rooms they had just to see what they had done to each of them. Let alone go to each floor etc. If you love history and appreciate the work involved in keeping a place like this up you will not be disappointed. The bed was so comfortable, sleeping was amazing (and we'd been to several hotels from ft myers beach to there), it was hands down the best and extremely reasonable... if you've never been there it's my opinion that it's a must see :)"

"Parking was easy and enough spaces every night. Staff was very curious and helpful all the time. The place is really clean. The food in the kitchen is less than desirable. So don’t think you’re going to get a decent breakfast. "

"Parking was good and area well lit. It was cold at night and the HVAC heater did not work. The room was cool but not cold so it was a not a major inconvenience. Also the TV remote did not work. "
