I loved Spinneys and wish we could have stayed longer. It is such a great spot, right on the water, super cute and quaint. I recommend 100 percent. Staff is very friendly and you have breakfast and coffee as well.
A step back in time but with modern conviences! Our room was lively woth a large bathroom. Room had a coffee maker, refrig and microwave. Pool area and deck are newly renovated. We had dinner and drinks at the restaurant and the views and food were great. Front desk was helpful and the grounds are lovely to walk. The best was the recreational center. Board games, video games, ping pong, table shuffleboard and four candlepin bowling lanes. 🎳 so much fun!
Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the accommodations to the friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Just minutes from the quaint fishing village of Boothbay harbor with its numerous shops and restaurants, you couldn't ask for a better place to really appreciate all the charm Maine has to offer. Great stay. I wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities and the many activities. Set in a beautiful location. The views from the balcony were terrific. I especially enjoyed the way the balconies were configured which offered a maximum amount of scenery with a maximum amount of privacy. Made for relaxing, peaceful mornings reading my book and enjoying my coffee.
Beautiful spot on the ocean. The Inn is run by hospitality students studying at the Community College. The Inn is on the campus. Some of the furnishings could be updated and the Wi-Fi was suboptimal, but worked with a personal hot spot. The location and walking paths were wonderful. It was perfect for us and just a short drive into downtown. Ocean birds were plentiful!
We arrived at the Portland Airport and caught a 20 minute Uber to the Casco Ferry. A short ferry ride to this very quiet island. The Hotel is within an old Military base gentrified. Staff were fantastic and the food was good ,not great, but always available and the dining areas are elegant. The rooms and lobby area lived up to the photos. Recreation consisted of pool and hot tub, small restaurant and bar area, free bikes and hiking. Plan to relax. There is another restaurant near the ferry...
This trip would have been perfect with the following: 1. lighting at the parking across the street, especially for late arrivals 2. Bottled water 3. Napkins or paper towels 4. Plasticware 5. Cookware for microwave - I left a dish for heating there for the next guest 6. Better bandwidth- the TV did not really work when other guest were there or the restaurant was in operation. No one likes to watch TV the is constantly spinning 7. A WiFi connection

The hotel is in the woods, with grassy area between hotel and trees. Our room had a patio with table and chairs. Would be a great place for quiet morning coffee. Also room for children to play outside. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.
