East Bench
East Bench is a quiet retreat where mountain views and peaceful streets create a genuine suburban escape. Outdoor lovers can hit the nearby Wasatch-Cache National Forest trails or squeeze in a round at El Monte Golf Course. The neighborhood's tree-lined avenues invite morning strolls while offering a glimpse into authentic American suburban life. You'll need wheels to get around, as public transit is limited in this residential haven. Travelers stay in vacation rentals or private guest suites with plenty of space and mountain panoramas. For dining and shopping, a quick drive to downtown Ogden reveals restaurants and stores worth exploring.

The Junction
The Junction blends Ogden's historic train depot charm with modern thrills that'll make your inner child do a happy dance. Take a spin in the iFLY indoor skydiving wind tunnel or catch a wave at Flowrider without ever leaving town. Kids will go nuts for the Treehouse Children's Museum while movie buffs can catch the latest flicks at the Megaplex theaters. Dining options range from casual bites to local bistros, all within walking distance of the main attractions. Most of the action happens in restored brick buildings connected by wide pedestrian plazas. Though there's limited lodging within The Junction itself, downtown hotels are just minutes away with easy access to UTA bus routes.

South Ogden
South Ogden gives you all the perks of suburban living with jaw-dropping mountain views as your daily backdrop. Golf enthusiasts can swing away at Shadow Valley Golf Course while families spread out picnic blankets at Burch Creek Park. The neighborhood sits just a short drive from natural wonders like Waterfall Canyon Trail, perfect for hikers who want to stretch their legs without venturing far. Budget-friendly chain restaurants and local diners serve up hearty meals without emptying your wallet. Most accommodations offer basic comforts at prices way lower than nearby ski resorts. Having a car is pretty much essential since public transit is limited, but you'll appreciate the wide streets and abundant free parking.

West Haven
West Haven's suburban charm offers a peaceful retreat with family-friendly parks and tree-lined streets. The Weber River Parkway invites visitors to hike scenic trails, while local parks provide perfect spots for afternoon picnics. This growing community balances quiet residential life with easy access to outdoor recreation, making it ideal for travelers seeking authentic suburban experiences. Casual chain restaurants and affordable dining options line the main corridors, perfect for budget-conscious travelers. Most accommodations are vacation rentals in residential homes or budget motels with lower price points than nearby cities. A car is essential here, as public transit is limited, but you'll enjoy ample parking and uncrowded streets.

Farr West
Part of the Ogden–Clearfield metropolitan area, Farr West offers a mix of businesses, including the large Smith and Edwards variety store. The city is also home to the historic Union Pacific Railroad's Ogden Shoreline line.

Beneath the Wasatch Mountains, a railroad town has transformed into an outdoor playground while maintaining its frontier spirit. Historic 25th Street buzzes with local breweries and farm-to-table restaurants in century-old buildings. The Junction offers family entertainment while Peery's Egyptian Theater showcases performances in 1920s splendor. Dinosaur enthusiasts will love George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park, with life-sized prehistoric creatures among the foliage. "Bare minimum but inexpensive. Nice employees. No coffee but knew that ahead of time. AC and clean. Dog friendly. About $26"
Studio 6 Ogden, Ut – 21St Street
"UPSIDE: Clean room with hard floor. Both sides of bed had table & lights. DOWNSIDE: Room was supposed to have coffeemaker but did not. And at 7:15 am the lobby coffee pot was empty :--( Toilet didn't want to shut off. Back of the bldg adjoins an overnite truck park, trucks kept engines running all night it seemed. But must say, closing the door kept out the truck engine noise and we slept undisturbed. P.S. I don't recommend the Denny's that's a 2 min walk; a "bowl" of soup was maybe 8 ounces for $6.29; Cobb salad missing half of the listed ingredients."
