"Hotel is in an excellent location with paid parking directly outside. The rooms were clean, fairly well equipped, and looked to have been recently renovated. Bedding and pillows were comfortable, although not luxury. Everything is within easy walking distance.
There is a very basic bar on site, although it was fairly quiet during our stay, possibly due to travelling in shoulder season. Staff were friendly and courteous, even advising us that the nearby public car park would be free overnight on Sunday rather than paying for hotel parking, which was appreciated.
Overall, very good value for money and a pleasant stay."
"We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Brit Hotel.
Sabine was very helpful and friendly.
Delicious fresh croissants for breakfast were great.
The swimming pool in the garden was a welcome addition and we enjoyed it when the weather was on our side!"
"Absolutely LOVED our stay. Everything was perfect. We even got upgraded! Room was lovely and clean with a pretty view from the 1st floor (2nd floor in North America). Location was excellent.
Our favourite staff was Benedict at the front desk- she was so lovely and friendly. She was a joy to see at the reception.
Our other favourite staff was Sammy at the restaurant who was attentive and also hilarious. Our “4 course” dinner was divine. Spoiler alert: you get more than 4 courses.
On market day, don’t plan on moving your car. We took a detour that google set for us and it was stressful. The WiFi isn’t fast, but it wasn’t really an issue for us. I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t want to leave."
"Lovely selection of continental breakfast items fresh fruit, meats, cereals, fresh pastries and cakes. Our room didn’t have a balcony but overlooked the pool which was quieter. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good shower although it is a separate toilet room much prefer them to be in same room. The hotel is ideally placed for short walk to old town and church. They have a garage to park in but very small and it only holds one other car so don’t bank on getting the space unless booked well in advance. Pool area was lovely to sit out in plenty of loungers. "
"Staff was very friendly and helpful. I inadvertently left a small item in the room upon departure. Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) Very efficient and appreciated. "
