Lovely room. Breakfast was fantastc. Hostess Debra helpful. Lovely common room with good selection of Orcadian history, bird watching and ancient sites. Mainland Orkney is an amazing place. Too much to see, too little time. Should have spent a week there. Strommness does nothave many food choices..
I had the best, tastiest breakfast ever. Nothing fancy just really great tasting. The eggs were so fresh and I had the same thing all three mornings and it was very consistent. Room was great. Great location. Easy to find. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely place to stay that’s very comfortable. 11 out of 10 for breakfast!
We spent 3 nights at Karrawa House in mid April. The room was as described. My bed was super comfy. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional.
Would stay there again and would definitely recommend the place.
Would recommend facecloth in bathrooms, plus small towel rack for hand towel above toilet (room 212), plus recommend at least one hand rail in shower.
Should post policy notice regarding cleaning and towel replacement in the room.
Second time staying here in the last 7 months and I think this place is top notch. From the extremely helpful and friendly staff, to the incredible breakfasts included with our room and the excellent dinners we purchased in the evenings, to the superb communication by hotel staff, and the clean and comfortable rooms…I will certainly be back in the future. I’d love to see whoever is running this business teach these principles of professionalism and attention to detail to larger chains because...
