To start , some of us can't leave without Ac , this property not only has one but one that works , ( those of you who travel through the old world understand). I based my booking on the free airport shuttle. The hotel exceeded my expectations! We arrived by train. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. Great location in Laveno. Our room faced the water and made for great sunsets. Nice bed and bathroom. The staff was pleasant. Parking was easy and we were only a few minutes from town and the ferry. The on-site restaurant is excellent. Breakfast, for a fee, was worth it.

A wonderful breakfast buffet. If you are arriving by train, it's a bit difficult to access: too far to walk with luggage. It over 1 km from the train station. If you have a car, it's wonderful. You can walk to town easily without luggage and spend a half-day there.

We drove from Munich, Germany for a wedding to Lago Maggiore. Looking for hotels in Stresa, we found out that the prices where not very fair and quite expensive for something nice. Looking through hotels.com we found a brand new hotel which opened only in May 25th and seemed to be very modern and luxusrious with a great value. The Lugano Dante hotel is a great hotel, the location can't be beaten, steps from the funicular and right by the city center, we walked everywhere.
