We have stayed here a half dozen times, and if you are simply looking for a clean place to lay your head for the night with no frills, then this place is perfect! The rooms have always been clean and everything in good working order. So what that they don't have breakfast...there is an AMAZING breakfast spot right across the street. We were very happy with our stay… Maureen was so hospitality and made sure all our needs were taken care of, from lending us an Apple plug, making dinner reservations for us to making sure we had all enough breakfast food. We love Lennox and would definitely want to stay at her place again, when we come back. Thank Maureen for the special time!
LOVED The Whitlock. Location, quality and vibe can't be beat. The outdoor gardens and patio were unexpected bonuses that are as cared for as the interior spaces.
The restaurant menu was limited but the offerings were truly inspired and delicious (better than other restaurants we experienced during the trip). The bartender made a mean spicy margarita and was friendly and informed. The one low point was the complimentary continental bkfst that doesn't live up to other Whitlock experiences....
Beautiful room, very conveniently located right next to a main strip of little shops, theaters and restaurants. We brought all of our own food and were able to store it safely, roomy refrigerator provided- and all cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates... Everything provided. There was a dvd player, and we were able to have movie nights, and a back balcony to enjoy coffee on the porch or read a book in a heavily wooded area which provided a nice shady view to block the parking lot. This was the breath of fresh air that I needed. The room was clean and comfortable; it felt like a well kept home. The service was excellent. I went on a weekend in the fall, and the area is absolutely gorgeous during harvest season. I had a hearty breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning, included with my stay. Staff was the best!
They have a restaurant and it is amazing. If you find yourself in this direction go to the restaurant. It is worth the extra time. It’s worth the extra drive and it’s worth staying there for the restaurant. It was amazing food I will be coming back.
Check-in was easy and the desk staff efficient. Breakfast was good as expected and breakfast area clean. Unusual to have to fill out a form the night in advance if you wanted the room cleaned or fresh towels.

We were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Check in and check out was seamless. Room was very nice and immaculate. We especially liked the bathroom design - didn't have to trip over the toilet to get in the shower as in most hotels! Free breakfast was the usual fare, but in a very pleasant and uncrowded room. Appreciated the free US News and NY Times Beautiful indoor pool - wish we'd brought our bathing suits!
