Learn more about New Britain
Discover the 'Hardware City' where the New Britain Museum of American Art showcases three centuries of masterpieces in an intimate setting rivaling metropolitan collections. Walnut Hill Park, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted of Central Park fame, offers perfect picnic spots beneath century-old trees. Catch future stars at New Britain Stadium, where minor league baseball feels refreshingly uncorporate. The Copernican Observatory & Planetarium reveals cosmic wonders without big-city light pollution. Downtown's historic buildings house cultural gems like the Hole in the Wall Theater, where performances happen mere feet from your seat. Polish bakeries serve pastries worth the trip alone – ask locals which makes the best pączki before exploring this city's industrial heritage.

Postcard Cabins Machimoodus, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
"Our second time at post card cabins and we really enjoy it. Our only complaint this time around is that we texted saying we didn’t need anything replenished and then someone showed up midday and loudly knocked on our cabin (after we had just fallen asleep for a nap) so that was unfortunate. Also the people working there should have a logo or something on them because I was startled when I opened the door and had no clue who the person was initially. It would also be nice if you could request a certain cabin, not sure if this is something they allow but will look into it for future visits as some have much better parking options than others."
