"Great hotel for a few days in Singapore. Next to the metro stop ( you cannot hear it in the hotel) so really easy to get to and from the airport and to visit the main tourist spots. Short walk to Canning Fort, Raffles etc. Small 7/11 just outside the hotel. Helpful staff, nice comfortable room, great location."

"Have stayed there twice. The rooms are very compact and without fancy frills. The room was clean and fresh and the bed comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet street, convenient for food shop and restaurants and only a few hundred metres from Jalan Besar metro station, very convenient for travel to the City centre and Changi Airport. "Pretty basic hotel, would prefer to stay in something better. But for the price (in Singapore) it's ok and ideal if you are just after a bed to sleep in. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Good location for getting around Singapore, situated between Little India and Bugis (both walking distance). 3 MRT stations in close proximity, so plenty of options for travelling to other parts of Singapore. This was my second stay at Hotel 81 Rochor."

"Quick to check in. They kept the luggages before or after check out. Always a staff at the reception. They made up the room if you put the sign out. Reasonably priced, clean room, no window. No frills, no hassle, good enough for a few days’ stay. Relatively near to downtown. Many eateries nearby, famous Ya Kun Kaya Toast and Teochew porridge. Transportation is easy with public buses and the Lavender MRT station is 500m-600m away."

"Great spot, ideally located by metro and taxi for Marina Bay Sands and expo Center and close for Clarke and Boat Quay along with Chinatown. A wide variety of eateries including a super Korean BBQ in Suntec city. Room was sizeable, clean and very comfy bed. Had access to the executive lounge which is definitely worth the extra. A solid place to work along with a chef at breakfast for eggs/omelettes and not forgetting evening cocktails at 6 with amazing views over the city. Think I found my base...

"Was centrally located ---restaurant was good. Only there one night so did not use spa or pool. Would definitely visit her again. Hop On Hop Bus stop across the street. Easy access to Garden Bay and other attractions. "
