Business travel, one night stay, bed and pillows acceptable, easy access - there is traffic light at intersection, quiet, felt safe. Limited eating establishments, but that is area issue. Bathroom......a couple of hairs left behind in shower, on toilet in sink from previous occupants. But all in all, okay stay
We stayed here for Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney and were extremely pleased. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice. The property amenities were explained to us at the front desk and they offered to show us anything we needed to find. Our room key cards had an issue and the gentleman at the front desk quickly re-coded them and kindly said if the keys didn't work that time he would be right up to fix it. The lobby was welcoming with a seating area and coffee/tea. The pool area was unique...
We visited the Cobblestone for 3 nights as we were in town for a funeral. My family and I are originally from Punxsy but are now scattered up and down the eastern seaboard. Absolutely LOVED staying at The Barclay. Communication with Crow was great. The decor of the house was very nice, like stepping back in time. The rooms were very spacious, we were on the 2nd floor in the Sunderland and the Swartz. The bathroom in the 2nd floor had a deep soaking tub that was so relaxing. There were several nooks and places to sit, socialize, read or relax throught the house. The location can't be beat... right next to the library where Phil lives contrary to our thinking he...
Staff was friendly. Room was much nicer and larger than I usually get at this price. I couple things were a bit worn. Had a hot option for breakfast (waffles). Some protein (eggs, meat) would have been nice.

We had to make a quick trip at the last minute on a Sunday night. I was a little nervous as I read other reviews about the noise. But being a Sunday night it was so quiet. When I checked in I was greeted so kindly. The room has got to the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. he bed was so comfy. Now there was no where in the hotel for coffee tea etc. and I had a hard time with the remote. But that would not deter me from staying there again. thanks for a great stay.
This is the hotel to go to in the area. Its clean and not full of the rif raf you would get in other hotels in Johnstown. Very friendly and helpful staff and clean hotel in and out. Ive stayed here numerous times.
