We had a fantastic stay at the Yankee! Our adjoining rooms were clean, large and comfortable. We loved that the rooms had a fireplace and balcony! All the amenities were appreciated. The breakfast had so many offerings, including fresh fruit and two kinds of eggs. The front desk staff (especially George) were professional, helpful and friendly. This was our first stay at the Yankee, but it won't be the last!
The building is like going back in time -- the separate boys and girls stairways, the chalkboards in the rooms and historical pictures on the walls.
Breakfast was so well done, selections and presentation were wonderful. Room was extremely comfortable, especially the seating area for watching tv. Lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Wonderful, quirky, charming ittle farm stay in an efficiency apartment with private bathroom and kitchen. The host is a lovely person. Chickens, geese and emus in an enclosure in the back, lots of berry-bearing bushes in the orchard, rounded out by flowers and a friendly cat!
Check-in was easy and the desk staff efficient. Breakfast was good as expected and breakfast area clean. Unusual to have to fill out a form the night in advance if you wanted the room cleaned or fresh towels.

We loved staying at Cornwall Inn while visiting our daughter at summer camp for the weekend. The rooms comfortable and sheets were divine! I much prefer these type of family run businesses that feel thoughtful and genuinely appreciate you being there! the breakfast room and gathering room were nice places to hang out and read. We didn't have time for the pool, but I wish we had jumped in! next time! we will be back next summer
We have stayed here a half dozen times, and if you are simply looking for a clean place to lay your head for the night with no frills, then this place is perfect! The rooms have always been clean and everything in good working order. So what that they don't have breakfast...there is an AMAZING breakfast spot right across the street. Take HALF the money you saved by avoiding big name hotels and you'll get a much better breakfast! We've never had noise issues, never felt "unsafe", and the staff is...
The inn is a wonderful and charming grand home in Lenox. The interior has warm furnishings and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Dinner was outstanding and the wine list had many examples of fine wines from Israel. Breakfast the next morning featured a sumptuous challah french toast souffle.
We were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Check in and check out was seamless. Room was very nice and immaculate. We especially liked the bathroom design - didn't have to trip over the toilet to get in the shower as in most hotels! Free breakfast was the usual fare, but in a very pleasant and uncrowded room. Appreciated the free US News and NY Times Beautiful indoor pool - wish we'd brought our bathing suits!
