Learn more about Moncks Corner
Glide through cypress-lined Lake Moultrie in a kayak, where bald eagles soar overhead and ospreys dive for fish with remarkable precision. Old Santee Canal Park reveals the engineering marvel that once connected the Santee and Cooper rivers, with trails winding through wetlands teeming with turtles. Mepkin Abbey offers a peaceful retreat where Trappist monks still maintain stunning gardens open to contemplative visitors. Cypress Gardens provides a botanical wonderland where flat-bottomed boats navigate blackwater swamps beneath a cathedral of moss-draped trees. The small downtown area maintains its unhurried pace, with locals who'll happily direct you to hidden fishing spots or the best barbecue joints where sweet tea comes in mason jars and refills are automatic.

"Good place to stay. Minutes from King St. friendly staff"
Hotel Indigo Mount Pleasant by IHG
"The hotel location was great and convenient to Charleston. It was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly yet could be better informed to offer suggestions for dinner and other activities but a few tried. Generally satisfied except with room served. Stayed 4 days. 3 nights and room was never cleaned. We set out around 10Am reinforced around 4 or 5 and need and bans were not made/ cleaned. I sent message after 1st day letting them know our schedule and was told it would be cleaned but next day the same thing. It was nearly six when they came to check but we were getting ready for dinner so just got towels again. There were no door tags for room service only do not disturb which we did not use. That said, I'd go back and just be sure to ask for room service."

Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston
"Great hotel. Clean. Love Kelli at the front desk!"
The Ryder Hotel
"We loved the hotel, location and design beautiful. We did find the room a bit small and on the dark side. Additional charges for little palm/daily amenity fee!/valet @58$ (not obliged) all adds up."
The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina
"Excellent!"
Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina
"First time here! This a wonderful hotel and we will stay here again. However, we learned a few things. Choose a harbor view if available. There are several rooms on each of the floors that face the parking with a view of the trash bins and work area outside that is a complete mess! If you choose that side, make sure you request a room not overlooking that area. The grounds were wonderful and staff members were helpful and nice. Excellent coffee machine in the lobby. Very convenient location for the water taxi. The rooftop bar at sunset it a must to for you! Other than the room view, and lots of construction/remodeling debris near one of the end exit stairwells we tried to exit, it as a good stay. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charleston DWTN - Medical CTR by IHG
"We like the location with free parking. It’s an easy short drive to all of our sights of interest. Love the free hot breakfast with decent options. They were short with room keys, so we only have one key with 4 of us in the room. Not a big deal. We managed. The only complaint is the TV didn’t work. When we checked with front desk, we were told they’re having problems with the wires or something. But the lobby TV works so not sure if it’s just our room or affecting other rooms. Front desk did send someone to look at it. The maintenance guy didn’t make it work but said he’ll tell front desk to move us to a room where the TV does work. Nothing happened there, but we weren’t pushing it either."
