Route 66 Auto Museum is 1.7 mi (2.7 km) from central Santa Rosa, why not stop by during your stay. If you want to experience more of the culture Santa Rosa has to offer, head to Blue Hole, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and Guadalupe County Hospital.
Plunge into the Blue Hole, a startlingly clear natural spring where scuba divers and swimmers share the 80-foot depths. This desert oasis defies expectations in a town proudly calling itself the 'City of Natural Lakes.' Route 66 nostalgia lives at the Auto Museum, where vintage cars gleam under the New Mexico sun. Anglers cast lines at Santa Rosa Lake State Park, while hikers explore shoreline trails with surprising desert views. The Pecos River cuts through this small town where three highways converge, making it an unexpected refreshment stop. After exploring Joe Gutierrez Park, ask locals where to find the best green chile - they'll debate this question with scholarly intensity.
This is my go to stay when passing through Santa Rosa, room is always clean and everything functions properly. Pet area outside is well maintained and all outside areas are well lit up for walking your pet.
Front desk girl was very nice but a little scattered. Room was very nice but a.c. was either really cold or it wasn't coming on during night. Normally look forward to their good oatmeal but this place had gummy oatmeal and was not good. I would stay here again.
Super cute place! All our normal places were booked up due to the hot air balloon fiesta that was happening in Albuquerque, so this turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel is a knock off from the 60s and right on the old Route 66. They recondition an old route 66 Motel and it turned out super cute. Nice staff, good breakfast, would stay here again.
We arrived just in time to get out of the horrible snowstorm on December 26th. The staff was very accommodating and brought extra coffee packets, towels, etc. to the room. They were really pleasing to deal with and did a wonderful job, despite the fact that they had all the extra tasks to do, because of the storm.
Totally enjoyed our stay at Super 8. We got a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. The breakfast provided the next morning was one of the better ones I have had while staying at a hotel.
