The staff at the Comfort Inn are wonderful. The rooms are clean and quiet. Everything works and the shampoo and soap is good. Breakfast is included (nothing special). The coffee in the room is good and included and there is always half and half available. You can walk to Applebee's. Shaws is a quick drive across the street and there is a gas station close by.
Gorgeous period B&B, and Caryn, the owner, takes the "bed" and "breakfast" of a stay seriously, with a Quality mattress/bedding and breakfast from scratch recipes with homemade bread.
Walked right across street for good food, and several others a short walk or drive away...local businesses who care about your service ( not chain restaurants).
Would stay here again whenever in area!

I wish I had more time to stay in this beautiful B&B. The accommodations were exquisite, and everything was well-run and well-kept. I took a chance to stay there since the more recent reviews were terrible, but all of the others were top-notch. I am so happy that I listened to my intuition. The property, inside and out, was beyond my expectations, and I will definitely be staying there again. Ann Marie and Joe are excellent hosts, and Joe even cooked an amazing breakfast!!! Great fire pit are along the river behind the Lodge and Kimberly was wonderful. She gave us a great tour of the property. But almost no restaurants open on Monday evening.

This place would be great during busy periods. Do not hesitate to stay. Would be cute and fun for a ski lodge barn vibe and everything is brand new. As is the case... theres currently a reliance on texting for communication, check in check out, etc and they are totally upfront about this. Simply one should know it is very no frills. Beds are great!
It was a great stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is enjoyable with things to do at the hotel . We loved the cozy area with the fireplace. We sat there for hours enjoying the home made cookies and hot chocolate. We can’t wait to go back.
My Mom and I were taking a trip through Vermont to see the beautiful colors in the fall. Our last nights stay was at the Butler House in Stowe. As soon as we walked in and went to our room it just felt like a nice and cozy place to sleep. Felt like a little piece of home away from home.
