We needed 2 rooms on our motorcycle trip and found this unexpected gem the day of our stay. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Property had restaurant and bar. Staff was super nice and helpful. Would stay here again !
We called to check in early and they were super accommodating- we got there and the staff were all really kinds and friendly. It was the little things that made this place awesome.
They had a free movie at 7pm with seating and a projector. They also had a cereal station out so guests could enjoy a late night snack with the movie!
Another HUGE bonus was the vending machine. This hotel has affordable kid friendly snacks in their vending machine! That’s never happened for us! I mean a yogurt...
My stay at the inn was very pleasant. The only thing I struggled with which wasn't a big deal is the fireplace in the room, even on the lowest temp, makes the room very hot. I ended up just turning it off completely. I'm sure in the winter months this will be delightful. The fireplace looks nice and the room in cozy. It's just I found the heat pumping out of it very hot, even when turned all the way down. No biggy. I would definitely come back. Beautiful inn. The beds are very cozy.
The service and communication were excellent, the owner was warm and welcoming, breakfast was delicious and homemade, space was very clean, warm, cozy, and we even bought some eggs from the owner’s laying hens! Easy drive to hiking, maple sugar houses, and to sites in Portland. Would definitely go again.
We had such a wonderful stay. The inn is very charming and full of history. The innkeeper was very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed talking to her. We had homemade quiche for breakfast and it was delicious! The muffins were scrumptious. The room we stayed in was clean and unique. I particularly loved the german decorations. This was one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The room was very spacious with a sink area with fridge and microwave. Large bathroom with great shower. Very close to hiking, shops, restaurants and small grocer. We will definitely return.
Upon check in we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies in our room! We had dinner that evening in their restaurant and the short ribs were delicious! The grounds around the property were impeccably manicured. The staff were very friendly and Jenn the owner even came and talked to us at our dinner there. We were very impressed.
