Plymouth Downtown Waterfront District
Plymouth Downtown Waterfront District puts America's colonial beginnings right at your fingertips. Walk the harbor promenade while fishing boats bob alongside the full-scale Mayflower II replica ship. History buffs can explore Plymouth Rock's legendary landing stone, visit the Pilgrim Memorial Hall Museum, or check out authentic Wampanoag cultural exhibits. The district's narrow streets follow the original 1620s layout, making every step a journey through time. Waterfront restaurants serve up fresh lobster rolls and clam chowder with harbor views. Historic inns and boutique hotels with colonial décor offer comfortable stays within walking distance of major sites. The compact core makes exploring on foot easy, with seasonal trolley service connecting attractions during busier months.

Plymouth Cultural District
Plymouth Cultural District brings American history to life with every step. Wander cobblestone streets to see Plymouth Rock, explore the Mayflower II replica ship, and discover authentic artifacts at Pilgrim Hall Museum. Colonial buildings house living history exhibits where costumed interpreters demonstrate 17th-century crafts along the historic waterfront. Waterfront restaurants serve New England classics like clam chowder and lobster rolls with harbor views. Most attractions sit within a walkable 6-block radius, though seasonal trolley tours connect major sites during busy months. Historic inns and boutique hotels in converted colonial buildings offer charming places to stay with period furnishings.

Ponds of Plymouth
The Ponds of Plymouth offers a serene escape with scenic natural water features and winding trails perfect for morning strolls or wildlife watching. Families will love the spacious green areas that showcase typical American suburban living. Atlantic Country Club draws golf enthusiasts while the neighborhood's quiet streets provide a peaceful base for exploring nearby attractions like Water Wizz and Myles Standish State Forest. Getting around requires a car, as public transit options are limited in this residential haven. Most visitors stay in vacation rental homes that blend with the neighborhood's contemporary colonial-revival architecture. For dining and shopping, you'll need to venture to downtown Plymouth, just a short drive away.

Holiday Inn Express Hyannis Cape Cod by IHG
"This hotel is the cleanest I’ve ever been to. The staff are very nice & friendly. And best of all it’s Pet Friendly. The only negative thing to me was the $40 a day pet fee. The last Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in Warwick, RI last week was only a $50 one time per stay fee which is more reasonable I would travel a lot more if the fee was lower. Other than that Holiday Inn express is my place to go to!! And the breakfast is out of this world. Although I don’t eat much in the morning."

"We have stayed here 3 years in a row 😊absolutely love everything about this hotel ❤️amazing amenities from an included breakfast buffet , indoor pool/ hot tub/ sauna . Outdoor pool with plentiful chairs & tables , corn home and a bar . There is also a bat located across from the indoor pool , where they allow you to be seated at the bar or tables or you may take your drink to go to your room or the pool or the fire pits . They have 2 large fire pits on a sandy shoal surrounded by Adirondack chairs with a view of a bay that serves as a wildlife observance area . There are osprey/ cranes etc there is a big nest / outlook “tower” . The staff are all really friendly and helpful . It is just a very pleasant and clean place to stay .
