Downtown Menlo Park
Downtown Menlo Park mixes Silicon Valley's tech energy with small-town charm on tree-canopied Santa Cruz Avenue. Artisanal coffee shops buzz with professionals while independent boutiques invite leisurely browsing. Stop by the modern Menlo Park Library, explore Kepler's Books, or catch performances at Music@Menlo to experience the area's cultural side. Farm-to-table restaurants and upscale cafes serve California cuisine with prices reflecting the affluent location. Comfortable boutique hotels and upscale B&Bs provide accommodation within walking distance of shops and dining. The Caltrain station connects directly to San Francisco, making this walkable district an ideal Silicon Valley base.

Allied Arts
Allied Arts offers a peaceful escape where Spanish Colonial charm meets artistic flair. Wander through the historic Allied Arts Guild to discover working artists' studios, handcrafted treasures, and enchanting gardens with colorful tiles and climbing vines. The tree-lined streets and manicured landscapes create perfect walking routes away from typical tourist spots. Farm-to-table restaurants serve up California cuisine in this upscale residential haven. Visitors can enjoy boutique accommodations in converted historic homes, though having a car is recommended since public transit options are limited. The neighborhood quiets down early, offering a genuine slice of affluent Silicon Valley suburban life.

Sharon Heights
Sharon Heights gives you all the lush serenity of Silicon Valley without the tech-bro chaos. This affluent enclave centers around its championship golf course and the dreamy duck pond at Sharon Park, where towering oaks create perfect afternoon strolls. Just minutes from Stanford University's attractions, you'll find yourself surrounded by impressive homes and meticulously landscaped streets that feel worlds away from the digital hustle. You'll need wheels to fully enjoy this neighborhood since dining options are scarce within its boundaries. Most visitors drive to nearby Menlo Park or Stanford Shopping Center for meals and retail therapy. The peaceful residential vibe makes Sharon Heights perfect for travelers seeking upscale accommodations in a quiet, green retreat.

North Fair Oaks
North Fair Oaks serves up authentic Latino culture in the heart of Silicon Valley, without the touristy price tag. Grab some incredible tacos from family-run spots, browse mercados full of Mexican goods, or catch weekend barbacoa specials. The neighborhood hums with community life and Spanish conversations while colorful single-story homes line the streets. Fair Oaks Park offers a green retreat with sports courts and playgrounds where locals gather. Getting around works best with a car, though ride-sharing is readily available. This area provides budget-friendly meals and a genuine glimpse into vibrant Mexican-American traditions just minutes from tech giants.

Learn more about Menlo Park
Venture capitalists and tech titans mingle in this leafy Silicon Valley enclave, where Meta's headquarters stands as a modern monument to digital innovation. The historic train station - California's oldest still in operation - anchors a downtown filled with bookish charm, particularly at beloved Kepler's Books. Stanford University's sprawling campus lies just next door, while the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory offers tours for the scientifically curious. After exploring Bedwell Bayfront Park's trails with views across San Francisco Bay, join locals debating the future of technology over craft coffee. For a quintessential experience, spot venture capitalists making deals at downtown cafés – they're the ones casually discussing millions while wearing hoodies.

Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport Oyster Point
"Loved the indoor pool/hot tub, cocktail hour, breakfast buffet, size/lay out of the rooms, helpful staff and would for sure stay here again! Just wish the parking fee was a little bit cheaper. Also the AC was not working in the room but at least there was a balcony so we just slept with the door open. Staff apologized and stated the AC was being worked on. Would highly recommend to stay here!"
Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport
"I had a great experience staying at the Hyatt"
Bay Landing San Francisco Airport Hotel
"I loved the great breakfast variety in the mornings. However a full restaurant and/or bar at night would have been very convenient"
Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront
"The airport shuttle is greatly appreciated, but I had trouble with the link showing the current status of the small bus/lg van. When I reported it, I learned one needs to tap the arrow on the R to remove the spinning icon and see the map. My room is very comfortable and I enjoy the view. It's clean, and I feel safe. Despite flights landing often, I don't hear them (probably due to the dan running). I had to leave very early, or I would have enjoy some breakfast. The room has a mini-fridge, but no microwave. I did enjoy walking the paved Bayshore Trail. Yes, I would stay here again."
The Marina Inn on San Francisco Bay
"Very clean room and helpful staff."
Travelodge by Wyndham San Francisco Airport North

Wild Palms, a JdV by Hyatt Hotel
"Good location. Cute retro decor."
