Learn more about Gering
Towering sandstone bluffs rise dramatically above the North Platte River Valley, landmarks that once guided Oregon Trail pioneers. At Scotts Bluff National Monument, hiking trails lead to summit views that showcase why wagon trains used these formations as waypoints. The Legacy of the Plains Museum brings pioneer stories to life through artifacts and demonstrations. Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area offers rugged hiking where prairie meets woodland, while Monument Valley Pathway provides an easier stroll with impressive vistas. Visit during golden hour when the bluffs glow amber against the Nebraska sky. The West Nebraska Arts Center showcases regional talent in a historic building, and Riverside Discovery Center combines zoo animals with exhibits about the region's natural history.

Arcadia Hotel
"You can tell the proprietor family takes pride in running this property. From free bottles of water upon check in - to very detailed instructions as how to use the lights in the room - to their amenities & information binder in the room. Room itself was spotless, micro & fridge really helped us on the road trip we’re currently on. Room was a bit small bc of the furniture in the room but that didn’t bother us. No breakfast but we knew that going in. Only real knock we had was the hot water situation. Unfortunately for the 2 day stay we never had enough hot water to get through our 10 minute showers. I personally quit trying to fight the hot water after my last shower & just rinsed off & moved on."
Hotel 21 & Co.
"Beautiful clean facility with very helpful staff. Grab and Go Breakfast was a bit sparse, but the coffee was good until it ran out. Overall a great place to stay and would stay there again."

Quality Inn Scottsbluff
"It was great stay. Very comfortable. Clean. Breakfast was awesome."
Powerhouse on Broadway
"The room had character. We especially liked the old-fashioned bathroom door and the exposed brick. The lighted mirror in the entry way was a nice touch as well. It was a spacious room with large windows and an inviting bed. I would say every detail was thought of. When arriving, I wasn't immediately aware there was no front desk. It's an odd set up where you have to read the email/text from the property owners, read which room you're assigned to, and enter the key code. I think the property owners need to make it explicitly clear check-in at the property is different from a traditional check-in. I have never experienced a check in like this. Yes, I received the necessary emails, but in most cases I can disregard those emails and simply go to the front desk. Again, you need to make it very very clear this is an atypical checkin."
Econo Lodge Scottsbluff
"I was there for a very quick one-night stay. This was just what I was looking for."
