Cedar Hills pairs quiet suburban charm with unexpected convenience for Portland explorers. Parks dot the neighborhood, with Cedar Hills Park and Commonwealth Lake offering peaceful green escapes. The Cedar Hills Transit Center connects you to downtown Portland in just 20-30 minutes, making city adventures hassle-free while keeping the urban bustle at bay. Families appreciate the clean streets and playgrounds where local kids gather after school. The neighborhood winds down early, trading nightlife for peaceful evenings under towering Pacific Northwest trees.

Tanasbourne
Tanasbourne offers a perfect suburban escape with all the convenience of city life, minus the chaos. The Streets of Tanasbourne mall anchors this planned community with wide pedestrian walkways and modern storefronts. Tech campuses dot the landscape, while nearby parks provide green spaces for afternoon strolls. Sports fans can catch games at Hillsboro Stadium when they're not shopping. Chain restaurants dominate the dining scene with options ranging from casual to mid-range. Hotels cater primarily to business travelers with standard amenities and reasonable rates. Though public transit is limited, the area's wide roads make driving a breeze, and there's always free parking at the shopping centers.

Central Beaverton
Central Beaverton blends family living with convenient urban amenities. The neighborhood pulses around its transit center, where MAX light rail connects you to Portland in minutes. Locals flock to the BG Food Cartel food pod for Korean BBQ and fusion tacos. The Saturday farmers market transforms parking lots into colorful displays of Pacific Northwest produce and handmade crafts. Chain hotels offer comfortable stays with easy access to local attractions like Beaverton Civic Theatre and Cedar Hills Crossing. Getting around couldn't be simpler with three MAX stations and extensive bus networks. Enjoy authentic suburban America without the tourist crowds or city prices.

Five Oaks
Five Oaks delivers a true slice of American suburban life just outside Portland. Families splash at Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center while nature lovers explore nearby trails. Tree-lined streets lead to parks and tennis courts, perfect for travelers who want to live like locals without the downtown hustle. Getting around works best with a car, though the Elmonica-SW 170th Avenue Station connects you to Portland when needed. Affordable chain restaurants and comfortable vacation rentals make this budget-friendly neighborhood ideal for travelers seeking quiet evenings and genuine suburban charm.
Raleigh West
Raleigh West delivers a peaceful Portland escape with all the breathing room you need. Tree-lined streets wind past ranch homes and leafy parks where locals jog and walk their dogs. You can stretch your legs on the Fanno Creek Trail or grab a craft beer at Uptown Market before heading back to your quiet home base. Finding a budget-friendly vacation rental here beats downtown prices by a mile. Restaurants tend to close early, so plan accordingly if you're hungry after dark. A car is your best bet for exploring, though bike lanes connect to Portland's impressive trail system.

"The room was tidy and bright. We had an issue with the mini-fridge not working and they replaced it as soon as we called the front desk about it. They were very attentive!"
PepperTree Inn
"Seemed to be a good place to stay. No problems."
Heathman Lodge
"Our third time staying here (which we never repeat where we go) to gather with family because it is such a great place. 15 mins from Portland airport. Rooms are well done. Staff is so helpful and the on site restaurant has any amazing menu for every meal with reasonable pricing so no need to venture out. Not to mention free coffee choices at the front desk all day long. Gift shop has a little of everything including beer and wine. Probably will get to enjoy this place one more time but if not they helped us create lasting memories."
