"I had not been since the upgrades the other year (maybe a few years ago?). What a difference! It was nice place to stay before but now it is very vibrant and fun with more food options, games, and larger, renovated hotel rooms."

"This is a late-1800s property in a convenient in-town location. Some deferred maintenance was seen, but it was very serviceable. Rooms were clean & good sized, but our bathroom shower was TINY. Lots of public areas to relax & enjoy the views. Owner was very helpful with recommendations for area restaurants & things to see/do. Breakfast was great, with a good mix of hot & cold items. Owner even insisted on giving us a "to-go bag" as we were leaving before breakfast started."

"An older budget motel that's a bit rough around the edges. That said, the price is right. The facility sits right on the river, with rocking chairs on the deck facing it. We waited for about 40 minutes for someone to check us in. The bed was soft, but comfortable. The linens & towels were fine. The toiletries were questionable, with a single, damp, unwrapped bar of soap on the peeling painted bathtub. The little shampoo & hair rinse bottles were only half full. No lotion. The water just stopped flowing during one shower. The lighting was so dim that we were unable to read a map in the main room. The tap water tasted great! Several other guests smoked right outside our open windows. The staff we did encounter were gracious, apologetic & helpful in obtaining additional toilet paper & coffee packets. There were no housekeeping services during out three night stay."
