Hotels in Matsushiro

Good hotel, location was a bit hard to get public transportation sometimes

Beautiful 5-star hotel with excellent staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet was outstanding--definitely worth the money! Location is perfect--right outside of Nagano station (5 mins from train to hotel lobby). I'll stay here again for sure!

Lovely hotel short walk from Nagano station. Staff were incredibly helpful. Easy walk from hotel to the main area for restaurants and shops.

Wonderful hotel right in front of the train station. Well maintained and clean hallways and room. Walkable to everything. We enjoyed our 5 nights stay.

The Dormy Inn in Nagano was an excellent value! The location is first rate - less than 10 minutes walking from Nagano Station. The Inn has wonderful amenities - an indoor/outdoor onsen. After onsen free ice cream snacks. A very tasty breakfast including Japanese and western cuisine - the quality and variety was great and the price was reasonable. They also have chilled apple juice during the day and made to order ramen in the evening. If you miss the ramen, they will give you a...

Great saty, very nice room and excellent service staff. Lawson's just downstairs and train station less than a 5min walk away

The hotel was very clean and up to date. When w arrived we were given directed to the lockers near reception for our bags since we were early and check in was not for another 3 hours. Once we checked in we had access to water, coffee and ice as well as an amenities bar that was well stocked. We also had access to an afternoon dessert. We got free breakfast for the 2 days we were there and it was very good( access to Wendy’s too). We had towels and robes for our room along with slippers. Overall...

This was our first stay in a traditional Japanese ryoken and we had a great stay. The welcome was fantastic with a tour round the hotel and tea served in our room. We also enjoyed the spa and the Japanese breakfast.

The room was spotless and comfortable. The staff was amazing! Very. Courteous and helpful the moment you arrive. The station is a within walking distance which is helpful if in a rush.

This was a very nice experience for me and my family. The hotel itself is very nice, but the best part is the service provided by the staff. Extremely courteous and they provided for all our requests. It's in a very nice location with 9 onsens (hot spings) within walking distance. As long as you stay in a hotel in town, you get a free key to access all of them. The hotel provides you with a Onsen outfit that we found very fun to walk around in (like a kimono with jacket and wooden sandels)....

Older hotel but it was very clean and comfortable. There is a 7-11 next door and directly across the street from the Shinkansen side of the station. Due to the close proximity to the station there are a lot of food options, would stay here again

Immaculate rooms and the staff was very helpful and accommodating for English speakers. Relaxing hot baths, incredible food in an unfussy setting

Beautiful surroundings, and right next to the path that leads to the monkey park. We very much enjoyed the kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast. They were happy to explain what everything was and how to eat it, since a number of the dishes were unfamiliar to us (in particular with the breakfast). The public onsen is nice, and in addition to the indoor pool, has a small but pretty outdoor area. The staff anticipate everything, and somehow manage to be extremely helpful while leaving you on your...

An unforgettable experience with my son who is 9 we enjoyed the private onsen with 2 separate baths we bathed under the stars which was perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating attentive and so SWEET , the Japanese chocolate covered pecans are dreamy definitely grab a box or 2!

This place is amazing. Service is wonderful. Food is extraordinary and there are 2 excellent hot springs in hotel. One of best experiences of my 2 week trip.

Our stay at the Ryokan Tsuchi to Ito was nothing short of a dream. The ryokan itself is beautiful with gorgeous details and comfort in every corner. The host, Kimi, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and provided wonderful recommendations as we spent our days exploring Nagano. The food is absolutely exceptional, and you can tell they take great pride in the food they grow and Kimi’s mom is an incredible cook. We will never forget our stay, and enthusiastically recommend...
