"I will return to this hotel! So clean, so friendly, parking easy, and convenient. And the breakfast buffet! Amazing with so many choices of sweet and savory, traditional plus! And the beds and pillows very comfortable."
"Hotel is lovely, great quiet location but a mall and carrefour in a 10 min walk. And 2 min walk is a shop, bakery and cashpoint. Staff all friendly and helpful, Room cleaned everyday comfy bed couldn’t fault it, yes they have live music in evenings until late but with balcony door closed no disturbance if you really didn’t want to hear a thing but even with door open it wasn’t loud and it’s great for an evening to go and listen to it and have a drink , room was all lovely yes bathroom could do...
"Room was spacious and clean with a wonderful shower. The location is good, a small walk out of the centre in a local neighbourhood. The hotel feels secure but we were told not to walk back to it at night, to take a taxi. The breakfast was really good and plentiful. Only one negative thing was that I had asked the hotel to come order us a taxi to the train station and they provided us with what I am guessing was an illegal drug be as one of us was asked to sit in the front because of ´problems...

The decor and staff are wonderful. It is also in a great location. The breakfast is not as good as it used to be, however. It used to be in the main dining room and included a lively scrambled egg dish. Now only hard- boiled egg plus a lot of bread and some fruit. So please make breakfast better.
Plus room number 4 is quite noisy. I would choose another for sure.
My daughter and I had a luscious three days at the Fairmont Tazi Palace. The staff were incredibly kind and gentile and the service was extraordinary. We particularly enjoyed the spa, the breakfast, and the pottery classes.
But all of the little details like flowers and cookies in the room, the kind gestures, made the whole experience memorable. This was a great way to end a 10 day excursion in Morocco before heading home.
Location is perfect right on the beach, super close to the marina, the new and old side of the city are both within walking distance , staff is super friendly, I read on the reviews before booking that you can hear street noise at night which is true, I wish they have noise blocking windows it would have made it perfect. I will still Highly recommend it .
Could Matisse be wrong? He stayed at this hotel, one of the oldest in North Africa, and painted the view from his room. You can still enjoy it, as the room has been preserved as a mini-museum. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the medina and just a short walk to the kasbah. The staff could not be more helpful. Find out why Franklin Roosevelt, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Tennessee Williams and many, many more luminaries loved this storied hotel.
The hotel is old, but has excellent maintenance. The facilities are very comfortable, a large swimming pool, large restaurants, a wellness building with: gym, hot pool, hammam... You can walk to the Medina and the old city. The buffet breakfast is very generous. 100% recommended
We loved staying in Dar Tanja. Amenities, staff and food all wonderful. Excellent breakfast, Amira the best hostess ever. The only thing it was very disturbing was the price of the city tax, Travelocity said pay at property one price and the final tax was 10 times more. Better communication between the hotel and the agency would prepare us better.
Great experience!!!
I would definitely recommend staying at this property!!

This is an excellent place to stay. The suites are very clean, comfortable and has a nice kitchenette as well as a washing machine. (No dryer tho.) It is also near a small mall and a short walk from the ocean. I'd be more than happy to stay here again if I am back in Tangier.
