The views were to die for, think Sound of Music Mountain Views. Excellent location on the slopes above a wide valley. Wake up to cow bells from nearby mountain meadows, with sunsets illuminating the mountains beyond which you can enjoy from your spacious balcony. Good food and wine and beer selection. Super clean sauna and steam room and indoor pool.
It is hard to find spacious hotel rooms but this room had more space than we even needed. Comfortable beds, blackout shades, and beautiful views of the hills, Alps in the distance and castle ruins literally accross the street. It was peaceful and perfect! And the breakfast and dinner we had at the hotel were amazing!
Beautiful hotel and the staff is amazing. We were there the first night the hotel was open so there were some logistics with check-in but probably not an issue now. The staff went above and beyond.
The breakfast is top notch and the sauna and view is amazing.
Only 4 star for amenities because there is no air conditioning for the summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had the charm of living with friends and family. The decor in the downstairs restaurant was absolutely beautiful and warm and cozy. The food was magnificent. Everything was an excellent quality and I love how so much of the food contained the herbs and vegetables from their garden.
Check in at the hotel restaurant bar was slightly less convenient as staff are always leaving you alone to wait on tables. Located in an interesting part of town with overnight parking options available nearby or in the garage connected to the property.
Stayed here to make a day trip to Neuschwanstein castle. I liked having the ability to cook and the spacious parking spots. There is an Aldi close by and convenient if you are traveling by car.
