"A terrific old school hotel with an amazing views and fantastic setting. Very understated and elegant. If not for couple of small quirks the stay would have been perfect. Chair on the room had wobly legs and was unsuitable for seating, the enclosed terrace had a chocolate wrapper on the floor for the entire 3-day stay and a nice upscale restaurant on premises somehow decided that serving butter in packets lime they do in buffets is ok."

"La douche est un bac de 70x70cm avec une ouverture de 35cm. Si vous faites plus de 65kg impossible d’y rentrer et de bouger dedans. De plus aucun feutres sous les pieds de la table et de la chaise et les crissements à chaque déplacement dans cet espace confiné, tard le soir ou tôt le matin réveille tout l’immeuble. Les boîtes à clés sont mal éclairées obligeant à sortir sa torche tout en manipulant le code."

"This was the second occasion we visited this hotel prior to getting the ferry in Santander, which is a short 17 mins drive away. We found the hotel extremely well run by very friendly staff and, fortunately for us, all the reception staff spoke very good English. No dudo de que en su día la dejaran limpia, pero una revisión antes de la entrada del cliente habría evitado ver el pobre pajarito (…) en la terraza llena de telarañas, polvillo de la gotera del baño encima de la taza, el suelo sucio. "We have stayed several times now for a couple of days to enjoy the north of Spain whilst travelling. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the apartments are always spotless and fitted out to a high standard Bar and restaurant are good with nice outside area to take a tipple and food, breakfast is very good. Some nice walking from the door which is great if travelling with a four legged friend as it is a dog friendly apartment and 20-25 mins to a number of beaches. Parking is no problem...
