For me, the experience staying here was worth so much more than the small cost per night. I stayed three nights and was able to tour Cameron highlands and spend time with the family working at the property. I took a hike through the jungle, cooked over a fire, and saw the local neighnoring village. The Bedrock Hotel is a one-of-a-kind place: quirkily but tastefully decorated with wonderful management. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Debbie helped me arrange a tour to the Cameron Highlands and transport to the train station. I'd highly recommend the Bedrock, and I'll stay there the next time I visit Ipoh, a little gem of a town that's not yet spoiled by an onslaught of tourists.
